Do you want your next challenge to be in an organisation that has a positive impact on the lives of all people in Aotearoa New Zealand?
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission opened its doors on 9 February 2021 to bring leadership and oversight to the transformation of our mental health and addiction system, and to contribute to better and equitable mental health and wellbeing outcomes for all people in Aotearoa.
Due to an internal staff movement, we are looking for a new superstar to join our whānau as the Executive Assistant to our Directors. The three Directors form part of the leadership team and you will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to each of them to support the effective and efficient operation of the Commission.
You will be confident in managing inboxes and managers’ calendars, exercising sound judgement with respect to risks, priorities, and managing time.
Ideally you will have experience as an Executive Assistant, but we are open to developing the right person. So, if you have other team administration / personal assistant experience and are looking for that next step-up role, we would also like to hear from you. Key will be your ability to demonstrate initiative, having intellectual savvy while being highly organised, and being able to manage competing demands and changing priorities.
Ideally you will be familiar with machinery of government and government processes and have knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi – or a desire to learn.
If you thrive on having responsibility, ownership, and accountability within your role and actions, then this is the role for you.
As a Te Tiriti o Waitangi-grounded organisation, we are committed to fulfilling our responsibility as an independent Crown entity to honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi and work in partnership with Māori as tangata whenua.
We want our workforce to be a reflection of our communities across Aotearoa and are actively seeking applications from people who represent that diversity.
To apply, please download the position description and application form. Please send your completed application form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applications close 12pm, Thursday 9 December 2021.
