   During the year we met with kindred agencies in Australia as a member of the Australasian Joint Mental Health Commissioner Forum. We participated in forums organised by the World Federation for Mental Health and the International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership (IIMHL).

A robust crisis response approach is at the heart of an effective mental health and addiction system and getting that right, will have ripple effects on other parts of the mental health system.   Crisis support must be health-led, with a strong role for the lived experience workforce.

This is higher than other age groups, and it has risen over time. (5) Some young people can’t get mental health support when they need. Young people are less likely to be able to get professional help for their mental health needs compared to other age groups.
